17 August 2023 – ReturnToWork South Australia’s entire finances are now powered by TechnologyOne’s global Software-as-Service (SaaS) ERP solution. The South Australian Statutory Corporation went live with the proven practice solution designed to meet the unique needs of departments, agencies and government-owned corporations.
Funded through insurance premiums paid by South Australian businesses, the Return to Work scheme provides South Australian employers and their workers with personalised, face-to-face services and support to achieve the best possible recovery and return to work outcomes in the event of a work injury.
The corporation, which insures approximately 60,000 employers and their workers from the costs associated with work injuries, moved its finance system to the cloud as part of a whole-of-organisation plan to transition its legacy on premise software to SaaS.
ReturnToWorkSA’s move to SaaS aimed to reduce risk, automate compliance and auditability and streamline processes.
TechnologyOne CEO Ed Chung said the vendor’s innovative models to risk-sharing provided strong disciplines against cost and time blowouts usually associated with projects this scale.
We’re proud to be helping uplift South Australia, its economy and its productivity with our highly secure SaaS ERP solution,” Mr Chung said.
“The requirement for governments agencies to operate efficiently, securely and within budget has never been greater, but when was the last time you heard of an IT roll out delivered on time and on budget?
“Just because so many government projects have failed to deliver on time and on budget doesn’t make it OK. Smart organisations like ReturnToWorkSA clearly know there is a better way of doing things when it comes to digital transformation.
“Our proudly Australian-made solutions are trusted by one in four public sector organisations across Australian and New Zealand. In fact, more than 230 Federal and State Government department and agencies are using our most modern and secure software and we’d like to congratulate ReturnToWorkSA on their go live.”
