TechnologyOne delivers SaaS ERP solution 100% remotely during COVID-19

BRISBANE, 12 May 2020 - TechnologyOne Foundation partner The School of St Jude has gone live with TechnologyOne’s Software as a Service ERP solution, with the project delivered 100% remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, and at no cost to the school.

Founded in 2002 by Australian Gemma Sisia, The School of St Jude in Tanzania provides food, housing and a 100 per cent free, quality education to 1,800 students from families surviving in one of the world’s poorest countries.

The TechnologyOne Foundation’s partnership with St Jude’s began in 2014, supporting its STEM and e-Learning program with more than $500,000 in charitable donations.

As part of the Foundation’s 1% pledge, TechnologyOne has committed to donating 1% of its product to organisations that provide services to those in need, making it easier for organisations like St Jude’s to access its solutions.

“Each child we invite into the school represents another family which has the opportunity to escape the cycle of poverty and we’ve been very fortunate to have TechnologyOne’s support,” Mrs Sisia said.

TechnologyOne’s CEO Ed Chung said delivering the software go live completely remotely demonstrated the company’s ability to support customers from anywhere in the world, which is critical in the current environment.

“We’ve been very effective in being able to work collaboratively with The School of St Jude and have managed to deliver all our workshops and team training sessions remotely,” Mr Chung said.

“We’re fortunate that our business doesn’t rely on face-to-face contact, so we already have the capability and systems in place to operate remotely and are well placed to provide business continuity for our customers during this unprecedented time.”

Mrs Sisia said the solution, which includes Financials and Supply Chain Management software, would support the school to streamline its business processes and focus on its core purpose.

“It’s really exciting that the software will help us with efficiency, so that all our staff can get back to what we’re actually there for - to run a school and educate these students,” Mrs Sisia said.

TechnologyOne established its Foundation to make a difference to underprivileged and at-risk youth by empowering them to transform their lives.

Mr Chung added: “TechnologyOne has the capability and capacity to make a difference. We focus on the youth because we believe it is through the youth that we can have the biggest impact on the future.”
