TechnologyOne's R&D centre announced as Brisbane's best new investment

$12 million ‘investment in people' announced as the best new investment in Brisbane

TechnologyOne's (ASX: TNE) brand new international R&D centre and corporate headquarters has won the New Investment category at Brisbane's Lord Mayor's Business Awards on Friday night.

The National Australia Bank Award for New Investment seeks to recognise companies who have made a strategic investment in their future.

The $12 million fit-out of the new building, which brings together three offices from across Brisbane, is designed specifically to enhance collaboration, innovation and creativity amongst the international software provider's 450 staff.

Accepting the award on behalf of TechnologyOne, Operating Officer Sales & Marketing, Roger Phare, acknowledged that the new R&D centre and corporate headquarters was an "investment in the people of TechnologyOne".

Executive Chairman, Adrian Di Marco, has always been a strong advocate for Brisbane's ICT talent.

"We employ some of the country's most talented software developers right here in Australia, providing them with a viable and attractive alternative to moving abroad to use their skills and qualifications."

"We knew that in order to continue to attract and retain the best software developers and executive staff, we needed to invest in accommodation that would inspire our staff to continue their innovative and collaborative approach to delivering the world's best software solutions."

"TechnologyOne's new HQ is an investment in our people and in the future of our business," said Mr Di Marco.

At the awards ceremony and gala dinner on Friday night, Lord Mayor Campbell Newman acknowledged the achievements of all ten winners.

"The 10 winners have been recognised not only for their outstanding contributions to the growth of Brisbane's economy, but also for their ability to enable innovation, create and attract talent, and connect to the national and international marketplace," Cr Newman said.
