TechnologyOne’s cloud business experiences huge momentum in UK
Leading enterprise software provider TechnologyOne has significantly increased its footprint in the United Kingdom, closing out the year with nine new customers, eight of which bought into its cloud offering.
“This year we saw a major momentum shift in a positive direction, achieving 100 percent growth in both new customers and associated Annual Revenues,” said Operating Officer Roger Phare.
“Most of our major new customers were Software as a Service (SaaS) deals; indicating the market’s interest in moving to a cloud first, mobile first world.
“Our customers have partnered with us to take advantage of our innovation, creativity and ongoing investment in new and emerging technologies. Increasingly, our enterprise SaaS solution is being recognised as a way to easily take advantage of these technologies, without adding complexity.”
The education sector was a major growth area for the enterprise software provider this year, with new customers including University of Lincoln, University of South Wales and University of the Highlands and Islands.
Continued strong success in the local government market also contributed to the company’s growth, securing its first local government customer in Scotland with Clackmannanshire Council and Housing. The company also signed London Borough of Haringey for its Business Intelligence solution over multinational competitor SAP.
TechnologyOne has been aggressively asserting its position in the UK market in recent years, after appointing executive leadership to the region in 2014 to drive growth. Given the size of the market, the UK operation is expected to provide TechnologyOne with significant long-term growth opportunities.
Further strengthening TechnologyOne’s international position is its results for the full year ending 30 September 2015, which marked its twelfth consecutive year of record revenues and licence fees. The results are at the higher end of market guidance of profit growth of between 10 and 15 per cent, with Net Profit Before Tax up 16 per cent on the prior full year period to AUD $46.5 million (Approximately £22.3 million).
