TechnologyOne wins more million-dollar TAFE business
TechnologyOne has won another three new customers worth more than $1million in the Victorian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, increasing its dominance of the sector with 15 of 18 of the State's institutes now using the company's software.
Box Hill Institute has purchased Business Intelligence and Enterprise Budgeting, while The Gordon has gone live with Financials and Supply Chain and is now implementing CRM and Works & Assets
Adrian Di Marco, TechnologyOne Executive Chairman, said the company now dominates the TAFE space in Victoria - a sector that has experienced massive growth in the last five years and is expected to increase by another 50% in the next four.
"Victoria has 14 TAFE Institutes and four TAFE Divisions within universities - 15 of these 18 entities now use one or more of TechnologyOne's solutions," Mr Di Marco said.
Box Hill Institute has used TechnologyOne Financials for 12 years and has purchased the additional solutions to upgrade and consolidate other disparate and outdated systems, improve reporting and achieve a better return on its software investment.
The Institute has already implemented the first stage of Business Intelligence in a record time of 10 days and has fully trained its staff in creating their own reports.
The Gordon has gone live with TechnologyOne Financials and Supply Chain, which it utilises to improve the flow of information between its different campuses and courses, slashing its administrative workload and arming it with real-time accurate data.
Grant Sutherland, CEO from The Gordon said the organisation wanted to further improve customer service and monitor the vocational relevance of its programs, cultural understanding and responsiveness to learning needs.
"The software will help us to make better informed business decisions in an ever changing and complex environment and to become more competitive," Mr Sutherland said.
He added that TechnologyOne's integrated Financials and Supply Chain solution was chosen to help the Institute streamline cash flows and budgets, and maximise the return on core business.
Mr Di Marco, said the Victorian institutes were progressive in their use of technology.
"Although education providers as a whole have embraced the web 2.0 phenomenon and the internet to modernise teaching methods and reach out to new markets, many struggle to see back office IT as anything other than a necessary evil, when it actually offers huge opportunities," Mr Di Marco said.
"The true power of financial, budgeting, supply chain and other enterprise systems is their ability to extract and analyse mass data to give management an accurate picture of their organisation, helping them to make better strategic decisions and justify innovation and investment.
