TechnologyOne signs multi-year sponsorship of CIO of the Year award
Leading enterprise software provider TechnologyOne has signed an agreement with Conferenz and IDC New Zealand to sponsor the New Zealand CIO of the Year award for the next three years – starting at this year’s CIO Awards in June.
“We’re delighted to be sponsoring the CIO of the Year award,” said TechnologyOne Executive Chairman Adrian Di Marco. “It’s really important to celebrate the amazing innovation and successes in New Zealand’s fast-growing IT industry and, in particular, the achievements of the country’s outstanding CIO.
“As an organisation that focuses on using technology as a competitive advantage and building enterprise software that streamlines business operations, sponsoring this award is a natural fit for TechnologyOne.”
The new sponsorship agreement sees TechnologyOne stepping up its support of the New Zealand tech industry. The firm also sponsored the Financial Innovation Project of the Year award at this year’s CFO Awards, which it has supported since 2013.
“Our continuing support of the CFO Summit and Awards, coupled with this new partnership with the CIO Summit and Awards, reinforces TechnologyOne’s ongoing commitment to New Zealand,” Mr Di Marco said.
Headquartered in Brisbane, TechnologyOne has operated on the ground in New Zealand since 2000, after signing its first local customer in 1992. The firm has 20 dedicated staff working across its Auckland and Wellington offices, and now has more than 100 customers in New Zealand, including New Plymouth District Council, MainPower and Land Information New Zealand (LINZ).
"The CIO Awards celebrate excellence in leadership and business innovation among the New Zealand CIO Community. TechnologyOne shares the same values and their support for the next 3 years is a great win for the CIO Summit and Awards,’’ says Ullrich Loeffler, Managing Director IDC A/NZ.
CIO of the Year is the premier award at the annual CIO Awards. It recognises the country’s top performing CIO who has positioned their role strategically in their organisation, demonstrated innovation and achieved key successes that align with the organisation’s overall business strategy.
The 2015 CIO Summit and Awards will take place from 9 - 10 June at the SKYCITY Convention Centre and the Langham Hotel, Auckland. Finalists will be announced on 8th May 2015. Last year’s CIO of the Year winner was Kevin Angland, CIO of IAG.
