TechnologyOne signs first UK cloud customer

TechnologyOne (ASX: TNE) today announced its first UK cloud customer, Pepper Europe, a subsidiary of Pepper Home Loans, is now running the Australian software vendor’s core enterprise suite through Amazon Web Services infrastructure in Ireland, having replaced a legacy Oracle platform.

The financial services provider needed a new proven and scalable financial platform from which to grow its European business following its acquisition of GE Capital’s Irish mortgage business and the opening of its London office in 2012.
A key requirement included the rapid migration of data from GE Capital’s existing Oracle Financials application and into an integrated platform able to serve the wider needs of the group, which covers the UK, Spain and the Netherlands.
Pepper Europe is now using the TechnologyOne Cloud to deliver critical business services and software applications across the group including TechnologyOne’s Financials, Corporate Performance Management and Business Intelligence all from within a browser.
Pepper Europe chief financial officer Teuta Bakalli said the company needed a cloud based financials application to help it meet the demands of setting up a new operation and integrating an existing business.
“After a demonstration of its features, simple user interface and migration capabilities it was clear TechnologyOne could get up and running quickly from a secure cloud platform and offer us a proven suite of enterprise applications suited to our business model,” Ms Bakalli said.
“TechnologyOne Cloud was the most cost and time efficient option, we don’t have to worry about infrastructure and we benefit from a single platform that works from the bookkeeper to the boardroom.”
The TechnologyOne Cloud platform is based on an annual licence fee and includes software, infrastructure and upgrades and is able to scale on demand with additional modular features.
It was announced by TechnologyOne executive chairman Adrian Di Marco at the software company’s ‘Evolve' user conference in Australia last year and is part of an on-going commitment to invest $150 million in R&D into cloud solutions over the next five years.
“Pepper Europe is a great example of how TechnologyOne Cloud can deliver a real end-to-end solution suitable for any type of enterprise without compromising on features,” Adrian Di Marco said.
