TechnologyOne signs 30 new HR and Payroll solution deals

Australia’s largest enterprise software provider, TechnologyOne (ASX: TNE), has signed 30 new customers in 12 months to use its Human Resource & Payroll (HRP) solution.

Customers signing up for TechnologyOne’s HRP solution include disability care service provider Minda, Queensland’s Alliance Airlines, Tasmania’s OneCare and Auckland University of Technology.

TechnologyOne HRP has experienced over 700 per cent growth since 2011, replacing best of breed solutions in a majority of sites. New customers are taking advantage of built-in Employee Self Service functionality, which can be accessed anywhere from smart mobile devices.

TechnologyOne executive chairman Adrian Di Marco said customers are increasingly embracing enterprise vendors like TechnologyOne, to reduce complexity, streamline their business and easily embrace new technologies.

“Organisations are looking for the simplicity of dealing with one vendor only and the reassurance their software will be relevant in 10 and even 15 years’ time.

“When it comes to HRP, organisations no longer need to rely on best of breed vendors to provide the functionality they need,” he said. “Enterprise vendors like TechnologyOne have invested significantly to deliver low-risk, proven-practice solutions that provide full functionality and can be implemented in a fraction of the time, for a fraction of the cost.”

Mr Di Marco said the market is currently seeing much consolidation and rationalisation, with many best of breed vendors running aging solutions that are struggling to keep up with customers’ technology demands, such as cloud, smart mobile devices and consumer concepts.

“Our traditional best of breed competitors are struggling to invest in ongoing development and support to keep their products in line with the latest technology because they don’t have the economies of scale that enterprise vendors like TechnologyOne do.

“In a bid to remain afloat, many are changing their business model or selling off products to international vendors that aren’t focused on the industry or the local market.

“On the other hand, emerging best of breed vendors don’t have the depth and breadth of product functionality to deliver a full enterprise solution,” said Mr Di Marco.

TechnologyOne HRP delivers a complete human resource management system that allows organisations to put their people first, by managing all employees based on their individual requirements. By embracing the latest smart mobile device technology, the software is so simple and easy to use, that employees can perform common HR functions such as timesheets and leave requests from any device, without the need for training.

“TechnologyOne HRP is also part of our enterprise solution which comprises a suite of 12 products that are deeply integrated, built on a common platform with a common user interface and provided by a supplier committed to taking the complexity out of the equation. When we fix a problem or make an enhancement to our platform, all our products benefit from the investment,” Mr Di Marco said.

“Our entire enterprise suite is also available via the cloud today. We take on the responsibility to embrace new ideas, concepts and technologies, to ensure we provide our customers with a simple way forward, that is also future proof.

“Only through an enterprise solution, can organisations really embrace the future of the cloud, smart mobile devices and get the efficiencies they need across their complete organisation,” Mr Di Marco said.
