TechnologyOne QUT sponsorship buoys innovation

This year’s TechnologyOne-sponsored QUT Hackathon winners set the bar high for innovation as their winning project challenged the approach taken by the failed Census website launch.

It took two first-year students, Austin Wilshire and Bernd Harzer, just 54 hours and $500 worth of Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits to build a massively scalable version of the Census website with their winning project to "Make Census Great Again".

“We love to see bright, young talent participate in events like the QUT Hackathon, where they have the freedom to think outside the box with problem-solving that delivers great results,” said TechnologyOne Executive Chairman Adrian Di Marco.

“Innovation is the driving force behind the success of our company. We are proud to support and sponsor hackathon events such as this, as it allows us to engage with the best and brightest young talent.”
