TechnologyOne partners with ICON software for ePlanning

TechnologyOne has partnered with best in class provider ICON Software (ICON) to deliver an integrated ePlanning and assessment solution to local government customers.

The collaboration will see TechnologyOne deliver ICON’s PlanningXchange ePlanning products as an integrated part of its Property and Rating offering.

The integrated solution will deliver a powerful Development Application/Consent Assessment solution. It provides a structured and digitised planning tool that can be used to manage all planning scheme information, online applications, assessments and tracking.  Councils, developers and the community all benefit from a streamlined self-service process.

TechnologyOne Product Manager Ken Donohoe said the partnership was an important step forward for the company’s Property and Rating solution, particularly for local government.

“We share many customers with ICON and have recognised the value of a strategic partnership to provide a complete end-to-end solution. By formalising this agreement we can work together to deliver the market leading ePlanning and assessment solution for our customers,” Mr Donohoe said.

ICON CEO Marie Phillips said the partnership aligned with the company’s strategic plan to deliver best in class government solutions to the market.

“This is an exciting period for ICON,” Ms Phillips said.

“We already work with a number of the large TechnologyOne customers, and this partnership will focus on delivering an end-to-end solution and a single point of contact for all TechnologyOne customers.

“The partnership puts ICON firmly on the map as Australia's ePlanning leader and enables TechnologyOne to sell the ICON solutions directly to their customers backed by the full support of the ICON product development team.”

Existing TechnologyOne customer, Deputy General Manager at Warringah Council, Malcolm Ryan, said he sees this as a valuable partnership for the industry.

“TechnologyOne and ICON are two of Warringah's key software suppliers and this partnership ensures that we can deliver the Warringah strategic vision of allowing our customers to interact directly with Council through online channels,” Mr Ryan said.

“We see integration between our key vendors as crucial to providing a seamless process around online application pre-lodgement, assessment and approval.”

“This partnership and the combined product offering aligns with our enterprise vision and the power of a single, integrated enterprise solution,” said TechnologyOne’s Adrian Di Marco, Executive Chairman. “We’re pleased to be working with ICON to deliver successful outcomes for our joint and future customers.
