TechnologyOne increases Government presence with preconfigured solution

TechnologyOne is continuing to win Australian Government contracts thanks to its preconfigured OneFMA solution, which has resulted in $3.2m in new business in the last nine months.


The OneFMA solution is designed to incorporate ‘best practice' for Federal Government and to streamline reporting in line with the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 (FMA), ensuring departments and organisations comply with all FMA reporting requirements.

The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority, the National Capital Authority, the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism, the National Offshore Petroleum Safety Authority (NOPSA), the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC), National Health and Medical Research Council, and the Murray-Darling Basin Authority are amongst those that have invested in the OneFMA solution.

This has increased TechnologyOne's presence in the Australian Government sector, bringing the total number of departments and agencies using the software company's products to 55.

TechnologyOne's OneFMA solution is in response to feedback from a range of government agencies. Launched at the end of 2008, it is the only specially designed solution in the marketplace. The OneFMA solution encompasses Financials, Supply Chain, Enterprise Budgeting, Business Intelligence, and Contract Management.

The OneFMA solution minimises both the initial and ongoing costs of ownership, greatly reduces the time needed to implement the solution, and makes procurement and contract processes more efficient.

Other benefits of the solution include the ability to tailor information for employees and managers using TechnologyOne Business Intelligence, allowing each user to see how they are tracking against individual targets, and set up alerts and reminders for tasks and reporting.

Executive Chairman of TechnologyOne, Adrian Di Marco, said the company plans to closely with its target markets, which includes all levels of Government, to continue to deliver ‘out of the box' preconfigured solutions that incorporate ‘best practice' for each of its verticals.

"The success of the OneFMA solution shows that we're heading where our customers want us to go. Customers want a product that is easy to use, which will deliver significant business benefits and provide a good return on investment quickly. Our Government solution does that," Mr Di Marco said.

"We generally reinvest around 20% of our annual revenue into research and development - in the last 12 months we have released the OneFMA solution for Federal Government, a new Student Management system for tertiary education institutions, a tailored solution for smaller local government organisations, our CRM, and a mobility platform.

"We are also planning the ongoing development of all of our products, and because we do this in partnership with our customers, we know we're meeting their needs."
