Now in its eighth consecutive year, the Symposium is the premier event for record and archive managers in the New Zealand public sector. The event brings Local and Central Government ICT practitioners together to share knowledge, recognise innovation, and develop professional skills.
“ALGIM is delighted to have TechnologyOne involved with the 2015 ALGIM IMR Symposium,” said ALGIM Chief Executive Mike Manson. “ALGIM is about developing a world class Local Government ICT sector, and it is world class vendors that will assist the sector to reach that goal.”
TechnologyOne customer New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) will be speaking about its use of TechnologyOne ECM as part of its digital strategy. The council’s Core Systems Configuration Analyst, Courtney Crowther, will discuss how her team has overcome the challenge of replacing an aging document management system with TechnologyOne ECM and is now managing vast amounts of business documentation, with centralised content management.
“ECM enables the Council to automate processes and embrace smart mobile devices more readily,” Ms Crowther said.
“Customers are demanding more services be delivered online, and increasingly we are seeing more mobile users working mainly from small form factor mobile devices. So it was critical for us to implement a system that allowed us to readily embrace these new technologies.
TechnologyOne’s Enterprise Content Management Software as a Service solution simplifies access to corporate information, reduces costs and vastly improves the enterprise user experience. Being device independent, ECM is able to capture information from any authoring tool.
The ALGIM Information Management / Records Symposium will be held over two days from Monday 27th - Tuesday 28th July 2015, at the Palmerston North Convention Centre.
