TechnologyOne announced as one of Australia’s top intern programs
Australia’s most successful enterprise software provider TechnologyOne (ASX:TNE) has received recognition for its leading intern program, securing a place as one of Australia’s best intern programs in Interns Australia’s National Fair Internship Pledge (NFIP).
The Pledge, which was officially launched on 9 November, is Australia’s first initiative to identify and acknowledge the country’s best internship programs, and set a national standard.
“With 87 per cent of Australian internships currently unpaid and many lacking training or mentoring, the NFIP is aimed at creating a culture of fair and quality internships,” said Interns Australia spokesperson Dimity Mannering.
“The Pledge recognises high quality work-integrated-learning opportunities to provide prospective interns with a way of identifying excellent programs.
“TechnologyOne’s inclusion in the program earmarks it as a best practice provider, setting the standards for internships nationally.”
TechnologyOne’s dedicated program onboards a group of new interns each year, who work very closely with the company’s top software engineers, providing them with valuable skills and experience.
“TechnologyOne has one of the largest Australian-owned R&D centres for enterprise software, with a dedicated team of 300 developers. Each year, 20 per cent of our revenue is invested into our substantial R&D program, which continues to produce leading-edge technology,” said TechnologyOne Executive Chairman Adrian Di Marco.
“Key to our Research & Development program and the growth of our talent is the recruitment of interns. They play a key part in our culture of collaboration and creativity, bringing with them new ideas and ways of working that drive innovation.
“We believe our expanding intern and graduate programs will continue as the foundation of our talent pipeline into the future, and have developed strategies for investing in and valuing our high performers.
“As well as having a dedicated graduate and intern program, we endeavour to fill open positions in our R&D team with graduates where possible, to provide every opportunity to inject new and fresh perspectives into our software development.
“We want to hire the best – people who are passionate, highly talented, innovative and committed to our ideals and goals.”
