Challenge A
full-time employee commences employment and elects to top up their
superannuation by contributing $20 per pay to their super fund
through the payroll system.
They then decide to
change their voluntary contribution from $20 to $32 and want it
to commence at the start of the next month which falls on a Monday.
However, this falls outside your weekly pay period of Tuesday to
Monday. Therefore, the superannuation amount of $20 would apply up
until the Friday and on the Monday a pro rata amount of $6.40 would be
attributed to their pay ($32 divided by five days).
